Check out some early senior season highlights of Scott in action to see why we feel he's the best prospect in the Palmetto State that folks haven't heard of...YET!

Dawan Scott Profile

Waiting his turn 2011 Irmo RB Dawan Scott could've sulked and moaned about playing behind former Irmo and current North Carolina State star RB Mustafa Greene. That just isn't in his nature though and now that the job has been handed to him Scott has taken the reins and punished opposing teams to the tune of 1485 yards and 22 touchdowns so far this season.

This past Friday against Ridge View was another typical performance by the 6'1 175 pound Scott. In just one quarter of action Scott ran for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns. His night was cut short also due to a twisting of his ankle while he was on the ground. That may be have been the only way somebody has found a way to slow him down so far in 2010.

What makes Scott so intriguing is that in many of his games he has only played one half of action while posting tremendous numbers. Already having posted multiple 300+ yard games this season the Irmo standout says he feels like a 400 yard game is a possibility with the way his offensive line and teammates have blocked for him. One stat that may go unmentioned about Scott that really stands out to us is the fact that he has not fumbled the ball once this season.

Schools like Maryland, East Carolina, Florida State, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, South Carolina State, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and Western Carolina are on his radar currently.

Scott took the SAT this past Saturday and feels very good about how things went. With a 3.3 GPA Scott says he's already signed up to take it again November 6th to see how much more he can improve.
