2012 DT Nikeem Ladson Grabs 1st Offer

Last season we saw Wade Hampton High in Greenville play twice, we initially went to see 2011 WR Hakeem Flowers and 2012 RB Blake Hayes but a 2012 DT caught our eye as well. Less than a year later that DT, Nikeem Ladson, has landed his first scholarship offer. Come inside to find out what school is the first to offer him in this FREE recruiting update with SCPrepNation.com!

Nikeem Ladson Profile

During our last update with Wade Hampton defensive tackle Nikeem Ladson the 2012 prospect was telling us how many coaches were wanting to see how much he's progressed since the end of last season before making a decision on offering him. One school decided that they had seen enough already and became the first to offer the 6'3 270 pound prospect.

SCPrepNation.com got wind of the offer late Monday night and spoke with Ladson early on Tuesday about it all.

"Yeah I got my first offer from North Carolina Central. Coach Rivens called me last night and offered. It feels good to get my first offer," Ladson said.

The 2012 standout talked about his process moving forward with NCCU.

"I haven't had the chance to get to know too much about them yet but I will be doing my research and I will be keeping in contact with them. I will be visiting with them in the next 2 weeks too."

Schools like Clemson, Georgia, NC State, and South Carolina all want to evaluate Ladson in the fall once the season starts and having his first offer already in hand has only intensified him looking ahead.

"Heck yeah! My motivation was at 100 already but now its through the roof!"

That's bad news for opposing offensive linemen and folks in the offensive backfield. Ladson says he'll play every snap with intensity in hopes of continuing to impress North Carolina Central and the other schools who will be evaluating him in order to land some more offers.
