SCPrepNation.com spoke briefly with 2013 Gaffney defensive tackle Ty Byars on Friday as he gave us a quick update regarding his recruitment.

"I went to Gardner-Webb's camp but no other yet. South Carolina State wants me to come to a camp and so does Georgia Tech."

Byars says he intends on hitting those schools for camps along with some others in the near future.

"Alabama State, Louisiana Lafayette, and Gardner-Webb are showing me the most interest right now out of everyone."

"Alabama State says they are offering me after the first game of the season and Louisiana Lafayette wants me to call them after the dead period."
