RB Blake Hayes Headed To Hampton

Hampton University will be the destination for 2012 running back Blake Hayes of Wade Hampton High School. Hayes tore his ACL prior to his senior season after putting together huge sophomore and junior seasons for the Generals.

Blake Hayes Profile

Schools were hot and heavy after 2012 running back Blake Hayes during his sophomore and junior seasons but after tearing his ACL just prior to his senior season things cooled off. Despite the injury Hayes will play college football and one MEAC school will pick up one of the state's best prospects in the 2012 class despite his not playing at all during his senior season.

"I will be taking my talents to Virginia Beach. Tomorrow I will sign to play football with Hampton University!"

Hayes should provide an instant punch to the Pirates offense should he not take a redshirt year to further strengthen and heal his ACL injury. He was a top flight rusher but also a great receiving back coming out of the backfield as well.
