We caught up briefly with 2014 quarterback R.J. Rosemond of Carolina High School to discuss his junior season and what his current plans are for this upcoming off season.

R.J. Rosemond Profile

The Carolina Trojans had an up and down season after making some serious noise in the AA playoffs last season. This year the Trojans saw their record fall to 3-7 this year. 2014 quarterback R.J. Rosemond was again under center and we caught up with him for a quick update to talk about his junior season and the future.

"I did okay personally but I wasn't happy for the team."

His junior year stats weren't too shabby all things considered though.

"I had 2,297 passing yards, 25 touchdown passes, and 9 interceptions. I also had 271 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns."

A pair of new schools have started to send Rosemond interest lately he says.

"I've been getting mail from Nebraska and North Carolina State lately."

This year Rosemond says he felt he progressed with his speed and mental approach to each game. The 2014 prospect already has charted out areas where he wants to make even more improvements.

"I want to continue to improve my speed and consistency."

Looking back on his junior season Rosemond says one game in particular stood out as his very best. It came against a bitter rival too.

"My best game to me was against Southside. I threw for more than 300 yards but I had a concussion and came back in the game and threw the game winning touchdown."

This year also gave Rosemond another chance to face one of the state's top senior prospects, Pendleton defensive tackle Michael Hill who is already committed to Ohio State. The junior quarterback had this to say about facing the 4-star from Pendleton.

"It was fun. He gave me a real challenge."
