As we told you last week 2013 cornerback Demario Evans of Ridge View High School will take a different route compared to many on National Signing Day. It's a route that he feels is best and he's hoping to have an almost immediate impact like another pair of former South Carolina high school prospects who decided on Hutchison Community College in Kansas.
"It feels good. I feel like I made the right choice. I'm ready to get rolling!" Evans told us early Wednesday morning.
He says the Hutchison coaching staff has big expectations for him once he arrives as well like the aforementioned prospects who are from South Carolina too and enjoyed great success and multiple D1 offers after playing at Hutchison.
"They want me at safety, kick return, and punt return. They are very excited and want me to do things like Jatavius Stewart and Cordarrelle Patterson."
Although he had multiple offers on the table from other schools Evans wanted to give himself the opportunity to play at a high level D1 school and he feels Hutchison with their track record has the potential to help him do just that.
"I just want to thank the coaches at Hutchinson for giving me the opportunity and my high school coaches and parents for the support!"
