North Carolina was an afterthought for C.J. Fuller until the 5-foot-9, 185-pound running back…
Fuller breaks down Junior Day
Earlier this week, he went into detail about that visit with CUTigers.
"I got there, checked in, went to meetings with the coaches. They showed a video, then we ate. Then, we went to Vickery Hall and learned about academics," Fuller said. "After we went to Vickery Hall, we went to the weight room. Then, after we went to the weight room, we went to the field.
"After that, we went back into the meeting room and that's when coach Swinney talked to us. We talked to our position coach then we left."
Fuller had 1-on-1 conversations with Chad Morris, Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott.
What was the message?
"They were just asking me how I was doing in the classroom, everything that was going on with me. They were talking to me about my new coach, telling me he was a good guy -- just basically welcoming me in.
"Coach Elliott, he was just basically saying don't be a stranger, to talk to him. If I need him, to just call him. He was telling me about the expectations he's got for me as a player and a person as well.
"Coach Morris, he was telling me to stay busy in the classroom and keep everything right, because I have a bright future."
Clemson likes Fuller as either a running back or a defensive back.
"They were telling me, when I come there, I can play whatever position I want to play. I went with running back. That's what I'm looking forward to," Fuller said.
Offered by North Carolina earlier this week, Fuller is scheduled to visit Georgia Tech on March 9.
As a junior, he rushed for over 2,000 yards and scored 19 touchdowns.
Fuller had 115 carries for 805 yards as a sophomore.
