2015 Greenwood wide receiver Markeyvious Adams goes about his business on the football field with a workmanlike attitude. You see the 6'5 wide receiver is in a tough spot. How so? While many teams have gone to the spread offense where the ball is thrown with a high tendency his team still incorporates the wing-T offense. Don't get us wrong, it's Greenwood's bread and butter having won a AAAA Division 2 state championship last season. It just doesn't afford Adams a ton of opportunities to showcase his receiving skills. Nevertheless, Adams continues to track as one of the state's top wideouts in 2015 and he's been on multiple visits in recent weeks. Doing whatever it takes to help his team succeed Adams is hoping that his play and potential will help him earn some scholarships soon.
Adams has been to Clemson multiple times already and he also got a chance to check out South Carolina recently. He shared with us how things went while in Columbia on his visit.
"USC was good. I like the atmosphere on the campus. We arrived late so I didn't get a chance to talk with the coaches."
He also talked about his visit to Durham to check out the Blue Devils of Duke.
"Duke was good. I did get to talk with coach Derek Jones my recruiter. I also got a chance to talk with coach G who helps with recruiting for them."
Prior to last Friday's game Adams told us he has about 290 yards and 3 touchdowns on the season. Keep in mind that Greenwood is probably 90% run with their wing-T offense.
We'll have more updates with "Mock" Adams as he continues to hit the road taking visits in hopes of landing that first scholarship offer. Keep it locked right here on SCPrepNation.com to get more of the very latest with Adams and other top recruits here in South Carolina.
