5'10 165 pound junior cornerback Dominique Lemon of Blythewood High School landed his first scholarship offer on Tuesday. The talented 2015 prospect gave SCPrepNation.com a call to talk about that offer and more.

"I got my first offer from Towson tonight," Lemon told us.

"It's a good feeling. Probably a feeling I'll remember for a long while. But just to know that people think that highly of you as a individual is a good feeling for me."

The Blythewood junior was just there for a visit last weekend too.

"I really liked it, just seeing how close the players and coaches were to each really stood out to me. Coach Schwartz offered me, he's the main one recruiting me."

Along with that visit to Towson Lemon journeyed to Penn State to check out the Nittany Lions for a while. He said he enjoyed his time at College Station but he left early.

"I didn't know it would get that cold up there but it was a very nice environment. I really liked their style of play on defense. I didn't talk to any coaches. I left at halftime because it was so cold. Even after I left I couldn't feel my hands for about an hour."

Other schools recently involved with Lemon are Georgia and Georgia Tech. Lemon was invited to see

"I'm really looking forward to meeting my position coach there."

The Yellow Jackets as we mentioned are also showing interest and Lemon told us about what the staff has said to him thus far.

"They've seen my film and said they really like what they saw. They said they are going to start recruiting me now."

Lemon says others in the mix currently are North Carolina State, UNC Charlotte, and Wake Forest.

"I've been on visits to NC State and UNC Charlotte. At NC State I got to see their weight room and a lot of what they offer their football players. I also got to see how important academics are to their football program. At UNC Charlotte I saw what all the new things they've added for their football program. I think their stadium is really nice too."

This past season Lemon says he had 64 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 12 pass break ups, 1 quarterback hurry, 2 interceptions, and had 4 returns for 85 yards.

Stay tuned here on SCPrepNation.com as we'll have more updates with Dominique Lemon as we anticipate his recruitment to pick up as the season is over now and his film starts to circulate.
