Although his Byrnes squad lost to Dutch Fork on Friday night 2014 wide receiver Shaedon Meadors has had one heck of a senior season. With double digit offers in hand and the Shrine Bowl still ahead of him there's plenty of time heading towards National Signing Day. The senior will start taking official visits soon and we have the latest here.
Meadors finished the season with 85 catches for 1,864 yards and 33 touchdowns. That breaks down to nearly 22 yards per catch and 133 yards per game.
Factor in that he has a GPA upwards of 4.3+ and many including ourselves are scratching our heads as to why some of the academic powerhouse programs like Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Duke, Stanford, and Northwestern didn't extend Meadors an offer given his prowess on the field and in the classroom.
Despite the arguments that Byrnes prospects are a product of the "Byrnes offensive system" its hard to argue with the statistics that Meadors put up this season. He was one receiving touchdown from tying the national single season record of 34. System or not the talent is evident and Meadors has torched opposing defenses all season long with his speed, agility, and route running.
As for what's next for Meadors he'll head to Appalachian State for an official visit this coming weekend. The Mountaineers have already offered Meadors and the 6'2 175 pound prospect says he will let us know what other schools he'll take official visits to so stay tuned here on SCPrepNation.com.
