Ray Allen was on fire this season for the Seattle Supersonics and the former Hillcrest Dalzell star finally ran into something that could slow him down, bone spurs in his ankles. Those bone spurs being extremely painful made it tough for Allen to play comfortably and in the end the former South Carolinian decided to undergo surgery to try and alleviate that pain.
Allen was averaging 26.4 points per game this year which is a career high. The former Hillcrest Dalzell High standout also scored a career high 54 points in January against the Utah Jazz. He also recently made his 7th All-Star game appearance last month for the Western Conference.
SCPrepNation.com will have updates on the status of Ray Allen's surgery and health as information becomes available so stay tuned.
