Penn State’s Rodney Kinlaw, can surely attest to the fact that hard work and perseverance pays off in big dividends. The senior running back went over the 1000-yard rushing barrier this past weekend after rushing for over160 yards in a lopsided 31-0 victory over the Temple. The former LowCountry standout became the 11th player in Penn State’s history to accomplish such an amazing feat.
Prior to this season, Kinlaw often times found himself in a back-up role for the Nittany Lions. However, perseverance was one a key ingredient to his success; and not to mention his humility… Kinlaw stuck it out at PSU, and truly shined when his number was called.
Kinlaw prepped at Stratford High School in Goose Creek, SC where he was a highly recruited prospect. He is the nephew of former 2000 #1 NFL Draft Pick, Courtney Brown.
