Although he'll be attending Furman University next year on a football scholarship Pinewood Prep's Ryan Steed still wanted to let everybody know he's a heck of a basketball player too. The 2008 standout lead the way against rivals Porter-Gaud in a 71-54 win in the SCISA conference basketball tourney.
Steed had a big effort in the first half and finished the night with a 34 point effort. Teammates Milton Jennings and Kenneth Manigault also provided some firepower for the Panthers with 13 points each. Steed took home MVP honors for his superb effort.
For Porter-Gaud 2009 standout Khris Middleton poured in 22 points. He is currently rated the #2 player in the Palmetto State for the class of 2009 by SCPrepNation.com.
