Khris Middleton Picks Up More Offers

Things are starting to heat up for Porter-Gaud SG Khris Middleton. The 2009 prospect was in Akron Ohio with his Carolina Celtics AAU squad this weekend and it was there that he picked up his 3rd and 4th scholarship offers. Come inside and see what pair of schools are the latest to offer Middleton.

The Carolina Celtics had a tough weekend in Akron Ohio at the King James Shooting Stars Classic. Though the Celtics suffered a couple of losses they still managed a few quality victories all while playing without Devin Booker. Khris Middleton stepped up his play to try and offset the absence of Booker and doing so made a pair of programs pull the trigger on offering him a scholarship.

Porter-Gaud head coach John Pearson broke the news to us. "Khris recieved two offers on Saturday. Charlotte and SMU offered him. Charlotte had seen him and had been recruiting him. SMU to my knowledge never wrote Khris prior to Saturday. They saw him play and offered him right after the final game."

As Middleton's recruitment is starting to gather steam there are a few high major programs who are still pursuing the 2009 standout in a big way. Georgia Tech and Oklahoma are just two of the schools who have made the visit out to Porter-Gaud to see Middleton in person. Tennessee, Iowa, St. Joseph's, and Wichita State are schools that maintain regular contact with Middleton and coach Pearson on a regular basis.

With the new offers Middleton now holds offers from, High Point, Charleston Southern, Charlotte, and SMU.
