It's a day that all young men have as a child...being drafted into the NFL. The weekend come and gone now but one former Palmetto State star Eric Young of Union High School didn't see his name flash on the draft board or on the ticker at the bottom of the screen.
That however still didn't stop the former Yellow Jacket and Tennessee Volunteer standout from getting some good news. Young signed a one year free agent contract with the Cleveland Browns. Teams may shied away from Young due to a torn quadriceps tendon he suffered this past season for the Volunteers. Even still Young was named to the All-SEC Second Team for the 2nd consecutive year.
Now given an opportunity to make it in the NFL expect Eric Young to work hard to show that he indeed belongs in the league and that his injury has fully healed once mini camp rolls around. SCPrepNation.com will continue to keep you updated with Eric Young and all of the former Palmetto State high school standouts trying to latch on with NFL teams so stay tuned.
