The Latest on Tariq Edwards

After a solid performance on the gridiron last fall, Marlboro County's, Tariq Edwards, has been reaping the benefits by way of scholarship offers. With seven major offers on the table, find out inside where the 6-4, 225 pound LB currently stands with his recruitment. recently caught up with LB/DE Tariq Edwards to see how things have been shaping lately… "Everything's been going well," Edwards said. "I've been traveling a lot and going to a bunch of different camps."

"The last two camps that I attended were at Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. Both camps were real good; well organized. They were very helpful to me. I really learned a lot."

As of date, Edwards is holding scholarship offers from both of the programs previously mentioned along with, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina State, Virginia, and Vanderbilt.

There are a few more stops that Tariq has to make before his summer tour concludes... "I'll be going to a few more camps this summer," Edwards told "I'll probably be going to North Carolina State and Maryland. I'd also like to go to South Carolina, but I'm not sure if they're going to be having another one."

With seven offers on the table, Edwards has plenty of options in front of him. However, he is not quite ready to move on to the next step. "I haven't narrowed things down yet," Edwards said. "But there are a couple of programs that I do like a little more that the other. I want to check things out a little more before I start eliminating schools."
