Another weekend, another visit to another ACC school for 2010 QB Dylan Thompson. The Boiling Springs High standout has been logging some serious mileage during the month of November in order to check out some of the top schools who are showing him heavy interest early on. This past weekend he visited Charlottesville, Virginia to check out the Virginia Cavaliers as they hosted Clemson.
We asked Thompson to summarize his thoughts on the visit to Charlottesville and the energetic prospect replied, "I went to Virginia this weekend with Jamey Cheatwood (2009 Boiling Springs OL), Austin Crowe (2010 Boiling Springs S), and our parents. Virginia has the nicest campus I have ever seen and the history behind it is amazing! They also have a great football building in the McCue Center. Their team room is unreal."
"Once we got to the McCue Center Saturday morning, we spent a good bit of time with Coach Belin and Coach Price, the coaches that recruit us the most."
After some time with coaches the group then was able to check out more of the facilities. "Then we went on to see the campus and finally got to the stadium. It is a really nice stadium and I like the fact that it's open on one end so fans can walk around during the game. The game itself was really cold. Virginia ended up losing but I thought they had some good young players that can help them out."
"Overall I thought it was a really good visit and I got to hang out with Jamey Cheatwood, Austin Crowe, and Chas Dodd (2010 Byrnes High QB). We're all good friends and had a lot of fun together."
Next week Thompson is headed back to Clemson to check out the huge in-state battle between the Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks.
