Robert White’s senior year on the gridiron was hampered by a nagging thumb injury. However though, he has been steadily attracting attention from a number of programs within the Carolinas. In fact, he just recently set-up his first official visit with an in-state program.
“I have an official visit set up with North Greenville,” White informed SCPrepNation.com. “I’m supposed to be going up there sometime in January. I have a pretty good feeling that they are going to offer me a scholarship.”
According to White, two other programs have been fairly active with him from a recruiting standpoint. “I’ve been talking to Charleston Southern and Brevard College a good bit,” White said. “Both of them have been saying a lot of good things about me. I think I have a good chance of picking up an offer from one of them also.”
Most programs have been recruiting White as a long snapper. But with his 6-3, 235 pound frame, do not be surprise if the ’09 athlete makes an occasional appearance at defensive end on the college level.
SCPrepnation.com will have much more on White’s recruitment as the clock continues to tick towards Signing Day 2009…
