SCPrepNation.com conducted an exclusive one-on-one interview with Denmark-Olar DL, Travis Whetstone. During our interview with the 2010 sleeper prospect he gave us a little insight on his recruitment, some feedback from his junior season, and some of his goals for the future.

SM: Travis what is your current height and weight?
TW: Right now I am 5-11 and I weigh around 290 pounds.
SM: How much do you bench/squat?
TW: I can bench press 340 pounds, and I squat around 500.
SM: What position(s) did you play on last season?
TW: Last season I played Nose Guard for Denmark-Olar.
SM: What were your stats?
TW: Last year I had 65 tackles and about 5 sacks.
SM: Who are some of the schools that have been expressing interest in you as a prospect?
TW: Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, South Carolina State, and South Carolina.
SM: What exactly are you looking for in a college program?
TW: Academics for sure… I’m also looking for a program that has nice athletic facilities, and a good strength and conditioning program. I also want to play for school that likes to win; winning program
SM: What do you plan to study in college?
TW: I want to major in Criminal Justice.
SM: My last question, what are some of your goals for the upcoming season?
TW: My goal is to help Denmark-Olar get on track this year, and win more games. I really want us to make a big statement this year. We’ve been down a little bit over the past few years, but I want this year to be a break-out year for us. I just want to win games!
