The Jaguars were beaten soundly on Sunday by the formerly win-less Tennessee Titans. Was it all bad? Not completely. JagNation is going to talk about some of the Jaguars players that performed well on Sunday.
Mike Thomas
- Mike Thomas showed great speed and field vision on three kickoff returns as he averaged nearly 30 yards per return.
Adam Podlesh
- Podlesh did a great job changing field position as he averaged better than 44 yards per boot including a 64-yard punt.
Tyron Brackenridge
- Brackenridge was a special teams demon, as he recorded three tackles, and should've started at corner in place of
Reggie Nelson
.
Daryl Smith
- Smith was all over the field early on, showing some big play ability. He finished with nine tackles, one of which was for a loss.
Justin Durant
- In his first game back from injury, Durant led the team in tackling with 16. He's capable of being an elite player if he can stay on the field.
Maurice Jones-Drew
- What more can you say about the guy? He's truly one of the elite running backs in the game as he is a threat to take it to the house on every play.
Derek Cox
- Cox had great coverage for much of the day and his only real error was a dropped interception.
Terrance Knighton
- Nine tackles in a game for a nose tackle is stellar, especially when you consider that Tennessee was running at the edges a majority of the time.
David Garrard
blocking- On Maurice Jones-Drew's second long touchdown run of the day, David Garrard was out in front and put a key block on Titans safety
Michael Griffin
. At least he's an excellent blocking quarterback.
