2012 RB Blake Hayes Taking Visits

Things have started to pick up for 2012 RB Blake Hayes of Wade Hampton High School. Getting our vote as the #1 RB prospect to this point in the 2012 class Hayes gave us the inside scoop on just who he's been hearing from recently in regards to recruiting.

Blake Hayes Profile

After posting one of the most impressive stat lines during this past season on the gridiron 2012 RB Blake Hayes vaulted to the top of our position rankings at running back for 2012. Hayes was a huge threat running and receiving out of the backfield for coach Kent Haltwinger and the Generals.

Since we announced that Hayes was our #1 RB prospect in the state for the 2012 cycle more and more big time schools have been in contact with the Wade Hampton standout. He spoke with SCPrepNation.com recently to give us a quick update on just who has been making contact and where he's been to visit since our last interview.

"There's been a lot of schools contacting me lately. Florida has been sending me the most stuff lately though. I haven't taken any other visits besides to South Carolina before. I will be visiting both South Carolina and Georgia Tech in June though," Hayes said.

Hayes paired with 2011 WR Hakeem Flowers it gives the Generals two explosive players who can take it the distance anytime the ball is in their possession. The plan for next season is to open up the offense instead of running out of the wing-T formation that they have in recent years. The plan should provide many headaches for opponents and plenty of options for the Generals' quarterback Capers Williamson.

Stay tuned to SCPrepNation.com as we'll have the very latest information regarding Blake Hayes and other top prospects from across the Palmetto State.
