2008: Jerrell Priester rushed for 1,194 yards on 99 carries; an average of 12 yards per carry. He also scored 12 rushing touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Priester picked off 2 passes for the Tigers. He says he can bench 315-pounds and claims a 34-inch vertical jump.

Final senior (10-2) stats: 20 total touchdowns “I played mostly running back and defensive back. But lined up at quarterback and wide receiver too.”

Priester reports a 3.3 core GPA and a 16 ACT, which he plans on retaking. He is also scheduled to take the SAT on Jan. 23.

Priester: “I’m very versatile. I’m also a competitor and hate to lose. I think people underestimate me because of my size, but I’m powerful and can do it all on the field.

“I want to improve my technique. I know I’m not a great football player yet.”
