Zach Butler Profile

He may have come off the bench for the Dorman Cavaliers last season but 2017 point guard Zach Butler has been a force on the AAU circuit for quite some time. A recent switch of teams has produced some new suitors for the 6'3 possible combo guard as of late.

Butler recently started playing with the Upward Stars 15U AAU team and the change has culminated in some early success for both parties.

Virginia and Charlotte were both inquiring about Butler during the Upward Stars most recent event this past week in Georgia during EYI play.

Virginia assistant coach Jason Williford likes what he saw in Butler and let it be known that he's a player they will be tracking moving forward. Charlotte has hosted Butler during their Elite Camp and he performed extremely well against some of the known commodities in the 2015 and 2016 classes. They too have put Butler on their recruiting radar for the 2017 class.

Memphis is another school that has shown an interest in Butler as of late due to his play and they were set to check him out today during EYI play.

Having grown to 6'3 already Butler was just given the green light to lift weights this past season and his body has responded nicely thus far with some impressive explosiveness to go with his smooth style of play.

We'll have more updates with Butler as he continues to climb in the rankings so stay tuned here on SCPrepNation.com!
